Meyers
on saturday night August 2, 2003. Bob was accidentally struck by a car
during a
caution for debris on the track. E.M.S. and others worked diligently to
stabilize him.
Bob was transported to Herman hospital where he remained in critical
condition. Bob passed away on the evening of August 11, 2003. Bob, a long time race car driver and respected official at Battleground speedway will be sorely missed by many. The team and families of H.C. racing wish to express our heartfelt sympathy to the friends and families of Bob Meyers. You will always be in our hearts and prayers. All racers need to continue to support the track and create a safe, fun, and competitive place for all to enjoy. We know this is what Bob would want us to do.
