What's happening
March 8, 2003 Welcome back race fans for another exciting racing season with the guys from H.C.R. It's been a long off season, we didn't have a whole lot of things to do to the car except paint. Shane @ SIGN-A-RAMA did an awesome job on the graphics for the car this year. Photos to come!!!!!!!!!

Saturday rolled around and we are off to the track, we will be racing at Battle Ground Speedway this year since HRP cancelled our class. But hey, it's there loss. Anyway back at the track the new track owners have done a great job of restoring a track that has been closed for 3 years. Paint does wonders. Heat race time rolled around and it is time to run, drew a 67 so we are starting 5th row inside. The green flag flew and Shane started working to the front, 4 laps into the race and Shane has moved into 3rd and is working on 2nd then bang! The motor let go. Shane was able to drive it the the pits and onto the trailer, but it sounds really bad.

After loading up and watching a few races I headed to the house. I couldn't stand it so I tore into it at about midnight. After about 45 minutes I had the heads off of the motor and found a hole in the #7 piston and the head off of the #7 exhaust valve. At least it is repairable. Time for the back up motor. Well gotta go for now, get back to you later with more. We have a little work to do.
